Orangethorpe Learning Center
We plan to reopen August 24, 2015, for another school year. Please tell your neighbors and friends about OLC and invite them to send their children to us for help with their homework.
Besides helping our students with homework, we will offer regular classes in art, music and dance.
Please come to one of our back-to-school nights, August 19 or 20, between 5:30 and 9:30pm to learn about our plans for the 2015-2016 school year, and to enroll your children.
Parents, you can help us make OLC a safer and happier place for its students by visiting it regularly and sharing your ideas with us.
For their recent donations of funds, supplies and equipment to our homework center, we're very grateful to:
We thank our friends for dining at SuperMex and Polly's Pies and for purchasing Piece of Cake products to support OLC.
In February 2015, we celebrated twenty (20) years of serving our community. These are photos of our leaders, employees and volunteers which were taken at the fiesta.
Recently, OLC lost three very dear friends who been a part of our escuelita for many years, supporting it with their love, enthusiasm, and hard work:
We miss each of these three friends very much and wish to thank the many people who made donations to OLC in their memory.
Volunteers and kids at our anniversary party:
We are very grateful to two of our leaders, Kristina Frias and Patricia Liu, for serving as interim directors last year, after our director, Cayla (Carey) Stuart, stepped down to give birth to her daughter, Star.
We rejoice that our escuelita is supported, with enthusiasm, by the leaders of our host church, such as its pastor, Rev. Dr. John McFarland, who frequently visits OLC to help our students with their homework:
